A collection of characters living in a jar, going about their day. The idea came to my friend and wonderful illustrator, Gaspard Bonne. Each vivarium holds a world of its own, offering small, symbolic portraits of presence, curiosity, and care. For clients exploring themes of mental health, well-being, or emotional connection, this work shows how even whimsical storytelling can hold depth and resonance
1. The Professional Scroller
A portrait of modern stillness: headphones on, world tuned out. This vivarium captures the hypnotic pull of digital routines where comfort, distraction, and companionship (cat included) blend into a strangely peaceful rhythm.
2. The Bookworm
Wrapped in a blanket of pages and paws, this character escapes into fictional worlds. Surrounded by calm, color, and curiosity, it’s a quiet celebration of learning, solitude, and the immersive power of story.
3. The Fearless Gardener
Hands deep in the soil and heart open to growth, this vivarium celebrates the mess, beauty, and bravery of tending to something living. It’s a gentle metaphor for care in both dirt and daily life.
The Cook and Her Brigade
Joy is shared, loud, and simmering. This vibrant kitchen scene pulses with energy, teamwork, and flavor, an ode to the healing magic of feeding others and the delight of a well-orchestrated mess.
The Pixel Shooter
Bright lights, fast reflexes, total immersion. This vivarium captures the charged stillness of gaming, where focus, flow, and playful rebellion meet inside a world of pixels and possibility.
The Old Fashioned
Time slows here. With jazz spinning, glass clinking, and a dog curled up below, this vivarium honors ritual, nostalgia, and the small pleasures of living deliberately.
The Mad Scientist
Organized chaos at its most creative. Part lab, part jungle, this vivarium is a celebration of curiosity, experimentation, and unapologetic eccentricity for anyone who’s ever felt joy in the “what if?”
The Yogini
Radiant stillness. This vivarium centers around breath, softness, and presence, a visual mantra for slowing down and listening inward. She’s surrounded by animals, plants, and light. Nothing is rushed.
The Pirate
Bold and barefoot, this character reclaims the spirit of adventure. From a tiny island strewn with treasure and tales, this vivarium reminds us to seek wonder, even when it’s just in our imagination.
The Collector
Driven by the thrill of finding, owning, completing. This vivarium captures the quiet obsession of always needing the next thing, not just out of greed, but from a restless hunger to fill a space that never quite feels full.
